When Desert Dawns Upon

our potted cactus writhes
n’ flowers a twosome’s
slack version of
fruition.

but cactus flesh tastes a lot like
chicken when night’s throbs
to breathe thru peyote,

call on all your
stray coyotes
.

on barren sill of western corner
leaning culture, cue flock o’
strobe-light buzzards,

desert needles jabs the
haystack’s middle like
the endless binds
of evil-

head ’round my knees
in some pissy god’s
cathedral
.
