FEATHER WEIGHT
sorrow’s but a
feather
from wings
already flown
i feel you deep as
cage’s marrow,
in each belated kiss
to you i’ve ever
blown,
eye dropped a feather in a tornado to see
what wicked things the winds
might do,
alas, it floated into nature’s dance
while i became forest casting
eyes upon you,

WOW, wow, wow. This is such a beautiful poem; very poignant and evocative as well. This stunned me. The rhyme scheme works fantastic here, and this is so profound in its meaning and depth, I can’t get over it. This is going to stay with me for a bit. Truly remarkable writing!
I’m glad it impacted you so. No better compliment. 🙂 thanks for reading and stay well.
