2020-07-26 – Feather Weight

sorrow’s but a

from wings
already flown

i feel you deep as
cage’s marrow,

in each belated kiss
to you i’ve ever

eye dropped a feather in a tornado to see
what wicked things the winds
might do,

alas, it floated into nature’s dance
while i became forest casting
eyes upon you

  1. WOW, wow, wow. This is such a beautiful poem; very poignant and evocative as well. This stunned me. The rhyme scheme works fantastic here, and this is so profound in its meaning and depth, I can’t get over it. This is going to stay with me for a bit. Truly remarkable writing!
