a mind that equates the
absence of pleasure
with suffering’s
in for one nerve
numbing ride
along life’s
dark path,
i pray for that
heart that
erases need and
momentary
greeds
in a downward
acid bath
with a few drops of
fresh pleasure
to soothe those
suffering’s
backs.
