i’m the sulker smudging
soot stars all over
hope’s clean
window,
burying my doldrums and
dumb dreams with the
moon’s mask in my
gritty pillow,
the family’s grassy
old plot’s since
yellowed,
‘specially under
yard’s lone
milky blue
willow.
