trailed by rainy
headlights
remembering the
needle like
sticks
nurse used to comb
through
my bee’s nest
for lice,
i’d pray for her
to discover
some
but..
nurse never
found
one,
disappointing,
since..
a day or two away from
school was
penalty most
welcome.
