slept in training-
out the
back,
i hear too loudly
what’s not
said,
squealing to a
complete
stop
before the road
falls off,
chased lost cloud
back to my
corner,
nothing waits
like you.

exposed
in shy costume,
making vintage
new.
broken pencil-
charcoal smudge,
loose leaf torn up-
worn off grudge.
am i lazy
or is it the day?
twin sheets creased
to form my
shadow
knows not to
lay still,
abandoned cup upon a window sill
over looking
the car
lot–
unfriendly but
well lit.
was it weak to
not feel it
fully?
backing away
slowly..
have we known the
tragic tone
of whispers like melted
magic
on the lips of
the angelic,
freed from panic-
clear child
mind
no storm cloud to
fade behind.
lust veiled in blue,
bride for the
night,
it’s looking late
upon my
face-
promises stained.
seal eyes two
lips
leave their
streak
‘cross roadmap
cheeks,
on dotted lines
arrive in
time
i litter space with
restless
speak,
are
we fine?
tiring..
holding..
fistfuls of
clouds
over
my home–
all
flames.
whisper waking
mysteries,
seed garden
curiosity
or dare not stir
the beast..
may sink his
teeth?
don’t waver on
position
to suit my need
to mend
broken time
again
in
misery,
if you dared
face me
you might
find
i’m barely
here
in heart or
mind.
