spins
while foam
bleeds
in
as bubbles
separate.

neutralizing expectations
and demands
of a mind, in

the piano sounds of
trickling
water
to tickled senses
held under
spell like
magic
awakens
soul submerged.
passenger’s side
was as close
as i’d
get
to knowing
driver’s
mind
though inches
from mine.
the sky has not
woken
yet i’m up for
its birth-
forgoing sound
rest,
on the dawn of
new hope,
i’m suspicious
at best.
heartbeat against

close to combustion
