hands in the garden

we met in the
quiet..

but heard all
we needed

to know it was
right

from the instant
we felt
it,

now life’s grown
so noisy

it gets harder to
seek out..

our moment of
silence–

though we still
find it.

i stumble
over–

most anything
she says..

to lighten
greys,

her southern
drawl-

my parasol on
downpour
days.
