relieve raw tickles
my tonsils
from fury’s fumes
guzzled
when too frazzled to
refuse time’s
muzzle
pet or words
run red.
relieve raw tickles
my tonsils
from fury’s fumes
guzzled
when too frazzled to
refuse time’s
muzzle
pet or words
run red.
i surmise failure to
thrive
forms a fist like
the glove
fits
loner likely
to be
hit
by self-inflict
stick,
a longing to shed
dad skin
and
seek shiny slit
to slip
in.
a hope childly
sincere,
she smiles petals
flush
as fragrant dawn
drizzles
dew
on crop kissed
blush and
blue.
wistful watching
sparks
through sidewalk
sprinkler
rain-
shadows behind
projector
claim
castoffs barely
left home
sane-
sisters chased for
lifetimes-
dragging others’
chains.
soily toenails
tap to
rain
flushing veins
of tree’s
tendrils spiral
skyward-
too sudden to
save each
leaf.
Despair
born of undug
name,
microscopic
shard..
of shell pricks
yolk
discharging
gas-
i ration breath
through
gaps..
in grab bag
past.
growing slower in my
answers
reveal rainbow cradled
in gaze of
boy
not shy to be
caught
in
skirt slit up both left
and right
sides-
inviting daylight
to caress
thigh.
undercover whisper
lingers
more sweet than
sordid
we
risk for restless
reasons?
reckless leaving
station-
teeth slick with
steam.
don’t pale for
grief,
late
stages
companion
weighting each
second,
melting down our wax
museum

“cracks of forest twigs on dusk casting storm,
magnifying threats of harm.
held up in
arms.”
