we met during a
thunderstorm,
you caught lightning
in your teeth,
my heart rumbled
deep beneath
desires purged
by cloud.
passion
desire’s eyes bleed
through their
lids,
a heaving heart beats
through its
ribs,
lights dim–
and shallow breaths
quicken..
as endorphins
kick in.
