and destined

the truth that
broke our
quiet
as tears restored
the peace.
truth
still offering such
charity
in your words
for me,
when all i crave
is truth,
for it bridges the
disparity
between what you
say and
do.
fearful to bleed
too red
for your
eyes,
i strain
to contain
what should
be cried.
when i
dread questions
the answer’s
in my
eyes
where i cannot
hide.
