shadow–
i pass through
you
notice not my
whisper
in blind attempt
to catch your focus
if only for the
moment.
rhyme
walls of this room
wept
with each
share
of members clasped
in a mutual
embrace
transcending human
language and
fear,
oh these walls
shed tears.
still offering such
charity
in your words
for me,
when all i crave
is truth,
for it bridges the
disparity
between what you
say and
do.
you’d always held
such value,
i’d never loved
so deep
before,
but that added touch
of kindness
was the gift that
made you
more.
we’ll blow lost
shadows
kisses,
until their groans
grow weak,
we’ll hush our
thoughts
stirring or
not
let’s let this
graveyard sleep.
so much blood
on ice,
melted down
to intended state
to absorb back
into veins
with the wisdom
of hindsight
in organic
light.
posing with such
poise
while deflecting
questions,
in a genial
voice of
reason
you
resolve
situations
before they turn
frustration.
night frosts my
eyelids
while
i search
as if you can’t
be found,
i part the
sky
so you can’t
hide
then motion you
on down.
you came ribbon
wrapped
in shiny
paper
begging to
be torn,
though all i did
was stare
as not to
disturb
perfection
adorned.
drying under
moon,
can’t spot our
reflection
where we were painted
in the sky with
spilt milk,
coasting into
dawn,
in search of
graceful
song
to lament the
downed sky
we both
built.
